The Studio - Bingley 2.81

The Studio is a custom designed, workshop environment equipped with industrial sewing machines and overlockers, as well as domestic machines and a cutting area.

With a focus on art, as well as clothing, classes are designed to teach traditional dressmaking techniques and machining skills, which can then be applied creatively to both clothing and art projects.

All industrial machines are fitted with brand new motors, which are set to a slow sewing speed, making them safe and easy to control, even for younger sewers.

The choice to use mainly industrial machines was made to give users the chance of a superior sewing experience, and to deliver a wider set of skills. These skills can easily be transferred to home sewing, and the use of domestic machines, yet can also be further developed for employment or study.
