We are expanding our catering and events with a dedicated team and would love to cater for your special event! “We provide quality catering for any event, using food that would otherwise be wasted. We are passionate about what we do and keen to impress. You get an ethical and unique experience” We agree on a fair payf price per head in advance, chef time, and service time if required. Psst we are yet to do a wedding!


Doncaster's first TRJFP event was at Little Mo's Snapshack in Scawsby on Friday the 13th February 2015. Encouraged by the support received we set up this page up for The Real Junk Food Project Doncaster. It is a very organic process growing at grass roots level, so far we are aiming to use the support and goodwill of established food businesses and supportive venues/community kitchens as hosts so that we can eliminate the trap of having to fund costs. We aim to educate about the overuse of dates and date legislation on food products, how they ultimately cause more to be bought when it isnt needed and more to be wasted, both leaving a terrible effect on the environment. Pay as you feel values food and values people over profit, it fosters equality, we work side by side volunteer to volunteer.

Well now it's your turn to switch that tellybox off and come and be part of an alternative to the 'buy & throw society'. Lets save some unused food from waste together. Lets share some tasty nourishment together. Lets create and enjoy a real feel good social vibe! We aim to demonstrate how much good food is going to waste locally. How we can help prevent and eliminate that waste by turning it into tasty and nutritious food that will feed everyone! With that end in mind it is 'pay as you feel' for your meal with your money or your time. Bring yourself along and enjoy some great food and meet some great people! We need volunteers, access to food that would be wasted (Nandos now donate all of theirs to TRJFP) drivers willing to collect and drop off any donations not within waking distance and future hosts. Donations include anything useable that would otherwise be waste, raw ingredients, pre-packaged food & drinks and decorations -such as flowers that may now be looking a bit tired.
