Let’s start with a history lesson. Back in the late eighteen hundreds, a country gentleman named Rollo Russell built himself a comfy residence on the London road, next to his favourite beauty spot The Devil’s Punch Bowl. A big fan of dinner parties, Russell made sure that his new pad had a state-of-the-art kitchen, staffed with cooks that could rustle up the best dishes of the day.
Eventually however, the family moved on and the house became a hotel. Now that the road has been diverted (hooray the witch is dead) and the good people of Hindhead have got their town back, we reckon that it’s time to revive the tradition of scrummy food at the Devil’s Punch Bowl by introducing a menu of old classics.
The hotel also has 32 rooms and function suite for all those parties and other events
