Principal Teacher - Jordan Osborne TCRG

Born and raised in Glasgow, Jordan took her first steps in Irish dance with the McLaughlin School at the age of 7. In her competitive career, she achieved major titles such as British National, All Scotland, All Ireland and World Solo Champion, and won her Scottish Regional Qualifying Championship an impressive 9 times. She also gained Gold, Silver and Bronze world medals as part of The McLaughlin School’s ceili and figure teams.

In 2005, Jordan was offered a place in Michael Flatley’s ‘Lord of the Dance’ troupe and toured Europe, Asia and North America with the company. Later that year, she was given the opportunity to perform alongside Michael Flatley himself in the North American tour of his show ‘Celtic Tiger’, playing at New York City's Madison Square Garden on September 27, 2005, the show's official US premiere.

Jordan enjoyed further tours with Gaelforce Dance and Magic of the Dance in a Female Principal Role, before joining Riverdance in 2008. She toured with Riverdance for 3 years in Scandinavia, Europe, Japan, China, Taiwan and North America.

In March 2010, she performed on St Patrick's Day at Radio City Music Hall, New York City, one of the many highlights of her professional career to date.

Whilst touring with Riverdance, Jordan sat her T.C.R.G exam and, in October 2008, passed with honours, establishing her as a fully qualified Irish dance teacher registered with An Coimisiun Le Rinci Gaelacha.

In the summer of 2010, Jordan was invited to instruct at Camp Rince Ceol, an Irish dance camp in Schenectady, NYC, where hundreds of children from all over the USA travel to learn new skills in Irish Dance, Irish music and History and to celebrate their culture and Irish heritage. She has also taken part in teaching dance workshops in America and Europe.

Jordan retired from full time touring and returned to her studies in 2010. Graduating in 2013 she is currently a primary school teacher is East Renfrewshire, Glasgow

The Osborne Academy of Irish Dance opened in 2011 and classes begin in April 2011 with Jordan and her sister Jocelyn teaching.

in 2013 Jodie Osborne Passed her TCRG exam and joined her 2 sisters @ The Osborne Academy.

Jodie has 10 World solo medals 8 of these on the podium. Twice British National Champion & North American Champion and was hugely successful as a solo dancer and team dancer throughout her life.

She too is a school Teacher.

All classes are fully insured and All teachers have gone through PVG (Enhanced Disclosure Scotland)

Assistant Teacher - Jocelyn Osborne

Jocelyn, also a world medallist as a solo and team dancer is an teacher within the class, she is hoping to take her T.C.R.G examination in the near future, hopefully becoming a teacher in her own right.

Jocelyn a qualified beauty therapist who also owned the Irish Jig Shop.

in 2014 The Osborne Academy opened their own purpose built dance Studi'O' Investing in the installation of a fully sprung dance floor and harlequin floor coverings for the benefit of all of the dancers in the Academy.

Jordan, Jocelyn & Jodie have a positive partnership and aim to provide the finest instruction in Irish Dancing.
