The Mash Tun 3.52

The Mash Tun is a member of the Micropub Association http://micropubassociation.co.uk/ and adheres to the Association's main tenets. However we don't believe in putting unneccessary restrictions on our customers so we permit discreet use of mobile phones, we offer two quality bottled beers including a lager, we have two keykeg taps for craft ales and a small selection of premium spirits. Additionally we have a quality wine list with ten wines available by the bottle or by three sizes of glass. We have a radio and usually play classical or baroque music, with a smattering of country and western. However we are more than happy to play any music which customers wish to listen to. We don't offer a food menu (apart from crisps, nuts, scratchings, pickled eggs and pickled onions) but customers are encouraged to bring their own food from any of the excellent takeaway outlets within a few minutes' stroll. Particularly popular are the pizzas and pasta dishes from our neighbour, Il Rustico Italian restaurant, who are always happy to send a waiter to take orders and to deliver to our bar.

We are very proud to have been awarded the 2015 Cider Pub of the Year title by CAMRA for both the Dover, Deal and Sandwich district and the Kent region.

We offer up to five real ales at any one time, mostly from Kent microbreweries but with the occasional intruder from farther afield.

As Dover is a popular tourist and cruise ship destination, we are pleased to accept both Euros and US Dollars at competitive rates of exchange.
