The Make up Dept. 3.9

The Make Up Dept. is a unique make-up training school based in Belfast. The founder and creative director, Pamela Smyth is an Emmy winning makeup artist with over 30 years experience as a make up designer in film and TV, having progressed from fashion shoots and ad campaigns. Pam is best known for her work as Hair & Makeup Designer on all 3 series of The Fall with Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan, Five Minutes of Heaven with Liam Neeson and Jimmy Nesbit and as Head of Crowd Makeup on Game of Thrones.

All our classes are taught by a selection of key industry professionals who are top of their field across all areas of make up application from big budget Hollywood blockbusters to fashion and beauty campaigns. Our tutors have all worked under Pamela on set and she has hand picked them for their individual skills and experience.

Our aim is to share our knowledge, developed over years of hands on experience and distilled into our intensive classes to nurture your creativity and expand your skills.
