Situated in the heart of Bitterne is The Little Fryer, a traditional fish and chip shop which also specialises in gluten free offerings.

We are a traditional chippy, locally renowned for fantastic quality food cooked fresh to order. Our customers favourites include:

• Garlic Cheesy Chips (freshly cooked hot chips, drizzled with homemade garlic butter and sprinkled with grated cheese then placed under heat to melt into pure indulgence, with no gluten in the recipe this unique dish can be enjoyed by all)

• Homemade Curry Sauce (a secret blend of spices made fresh every day, gluten free option available)

• Freshly Cooked Fish (Our cod, haddock, plaice, sea bass and skate is available steamed or cooked in our traditional batter with a twist, we also offer a gluten free batter with customers coming from far and wide to enjoy their favourites)

About the Owner

Deirdra grew up in Ireland and is the Daughter Jimmy Cranny who began his fishing carer at the tender age of 13. Jimmy caught fish off the east coast of Ireland and instilled a passion for seafood which is evident in Deirdra today. Deirdra has been running The Little Fryer for over a decade and her core values of great food and second to none customer service shine through to deliver an outstanding offering every time.
