The Gruffalo Experience at Meadowhall 3.82

...and you could be coming face to face with him this Summer

Embark on a fun and interactive journey into the deep dark wood to meet the Gruffalo and other characters from the world famous children's picture book.

Your ‘Gruffalo Guide’ will lead you in the footsteps of Mouse, as if you've stepped onto the pages of the much-loved picture book, complete with trees, woodland sounds, a fox's den and its own log pile house. During the 40-45 minute experience you'll find out where the woodland creatures live and what they like to eat! The Gruffalo himself will make an exciting appearance!

The Event

The Gruffalo Experience takes place within a heated and weatherproof marquee structure outside, located at Meadowhall Shopping Centre outside in the Oasis Dining Quarter Courtyard area.

On arrival you will be given your very own mouse ears, and will meet your ‘Gruffalo Guide’. They will then lead you through the Gruffalo experience.

Zone 1 - Meet the Characters of deep dark wood
You’ll get to see and meet the characters from the story, find out all about Fox, Snake and Owl and why you (the mouse) would make a tasty treat for them!

After meeting the characters you’ll continue your journey through deep dark wood, where there are foxholes and other obstacles to negotiate to reach the next stage.

Zone 2 - The Gruffalo Story Time
Deeper into the experience you’ll enjoy some interactive storytelling, where you’ll be encouraged to join in with the story.

Oh help! Oh no! It’s a Gruffalo! As the highlight of your Gruffalo experience you and your family will have the chance to get face to face with The Gruffalo and the opportunity to buy a professional photograph to remember your adventure.
