The Green Caravan Park 3.96

The Green Caravan Park is a family-friendly site located in a valley between The Long Mynd and Stiperstones Hills in South Shropshire.

The shallow River East Onny runs through the mainly level, sheltered site. Children enjoy paddling and fishing in it; they also have fun in the play area.

There are various places to camp, from small dingles to a large five acre meadow, The Rally Field. Several of the pitches are adjacent to the river. We have fifty four electric pitches including five hard standings [again, some are river-side].

Facilities include a shower block – featuring hot showers [20p], hairdryer, shaving point, washing up room, washing machine and tumble drier. We have a shop [limited opening low season] selling basic groceries, ice-cream, sweets, pop and pocket-money toys; camping equipment, OS survey maps and Calor gas. There is also a well stocked village shop just over the road.

The Inn on the Green pub is reached directly from the site and The Crown is just up the hill, both serve home-made food and Real Ales.

With its quiet country lanes and scenic hills, the locality naturally lends itself to superb walks. Within easy reach are castles, working museums of agriculture and industry. The quaint market town of Bishop’s Castle is a ten minute drive.

The Green Caravan Park offers all the ingredients for a superb break or holiday, conveniently situated (30 mins from Shrewsbury/ Ludlow). We were voted into the Top 100 Parks of Practical Caravan magazine from 2010 to 2014.
