The Friends of The Blackden Trust 1.33

The Blackden Trust cares for an acre of Cheshire land that has been inhabited for over ten thousand years. The Trust organises events, suitable for all ages. These include conducted tours, educational visits and innovative workshops that focus on artefacts found on the site. These activities draw on the history of Blackden, with each one giving a window on a different aspect of the past.

The Friends of the Blackden Trust sustain the Trust in many ways. We provide practical help as volunteers, raise funds to care for the ancient site and the timber-framed houses that have been built here, and we donate resources for school visits and guided tours. We also host an annual ‘Friends of the Blackden Trust Lecture’ every spring to raise awareness and fundraise for The Blackden Trust.
