The Dog House Bar in St. George’s Street, is situated adjacent to St.Andrew's Hall in the heart of "Old Norwich"

Previously known as the Red Lion, which closed down in 2005, the building is Grade II listed and recorded as being a pub as far back as the 19th century. The central City Centre location makes it an ideal stop-off after work or to grab a pre or post theatre drink before going to the nearby Playhouse or Cinema City.

The interior is fitting of any self-respecting "proper traditional pub" with wooden furnishings around original features including exposed beams, red brick fireplace and chimney breast, all illuminated by chic contemporary lighting. Music plays throughout, piped in via discreet speakers.

The well-stocked bar features a brand new cocktail bar which opened in November 2010.

Downstairs has a lovely sweeping wooden bar that leads out to “The Yard” - a totally enclosed outside terrace with patio heaters.

Upstairs, you’ll find “The Kennel”, a split-level air-conditioned function room with its own bar that is available for hire for private parties and functions.

Best described as a "cool" bar with more than a hint of City Centre urban chic, The Dog House Bar has quickly become a very cool phenomenon in Norwich’s newest pedestrianised area.
