The Crown is built from the traditional Stamford stone – making it a centre piece in this beautiful, and popular, historical market town. The Crown Hotel is the youngest member of the Knead Pubs family having joined in 2014. But that may be deceiving! The original part of the Crown Hotel was first built way back in 1260 and it has been growing ever since.

As always with Knead Pubs, there’s something quirky and something traditional on the menu, whilst continuing to make the absolute most of locally sourced produce. The Crown is the perfect location for quick spot of lunch or a more formal dinner in the evening. We like to keep it casual though; although your surroundings will be grand we won’t expect you to don a ball gown or a bow tie!

The Crown is currently undergoing a fantastic transformation, after having become a part of Knead Pubs in 2014. We’ve got some very special plans for the future of the Crown, including a transformation of the restaurant with new menus that make the absolute most of lamb and beef coming from our very own Knead Pubs farm in Tallington.
