The Catherine Wheel 4.25

The Catherine Wheel is probably one of the oldest pubs in Norwich, situated just meters from St Augustines Gate in the city walls!
We know that the pub has been in constant use since at least 1740 when records began the licencee was a Mr Lockett.
It is thought that when traders and farmers bought their cattle to market in in the city they would have stopped here for an ale and to water their animals from the well!
