The Box is a fully staged live music venue situated just down from the MMU campus and opposite Crewe train station.

Bands who have played the venue include Funeral For A Friend, Idlewild, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, The Bluetones, Babybird, The Joy Formidable, Twisted Wheel, Grooverider, The Holloways, Kid British, Slow Club, Sham 69, The Beat, The Answering Machine, Future of the Left, Eighties Matchbox B-line Disaster, DJs Hype and Friction, The Paddingtons, The Pipettes, Japanese Voyeurs, Doll And The Kicks, Sylosis, Dinosaur Pile-up, Sergeant, The Chapman Family and many more.

In addition to putting on top original bands from across the UK, we actively support upcoming local talent, making our local shows amongst the best promoted unsigned gigs in the country. Our roster of Tributes is growing exponentially, catering for a wide variety of tastes, and we now feature multiple International Artists, catering for our World-Village local community.
