Welcome to The Battleaxes a stunning freehouse pub nestled in Wraxall, North Somerset. The Battleaxes is closely situated to the country estate of Tyntesfield. The previous owners of which, the Gibbs family built in the 1800's.

The Battleaxes is set in a characterful Grade II listed building on the main Bristol Road (B3130). Lovingly, sympathetically and imaginatively restored in September 2010, it has a playful eccentricity that is cluedo country house meets traditional country pub.

Our six B&B guest rooms are finished to a very high quality and are that little touch of luxury everybody deserves

Our team of chefs prepare everything on the premises and we'd like to think that this shows in the quality of the food that is served.

We serve food all day everyday so whether it be a sharer board for two, lunch with friends or a romantic table for two, look no further.

Our fantastic Sunday roasts are simply delicious using the freshest local meat and veg - but don't forget to book as they do get quite busy!

The Battleaxes is blessed with it's huge gothic dining (The Club Room) room and large dining area's so have hosted many large functions.
