"We know it happens.... so let's talk"

Suicide is not just the loss of one precious life. It devastates many, many other lives. We are here to help those in the wake of the suicide of a loved one.

Our organisation exists to help the survivors of bereavement by suicide or self-inflicted death to support each other, at the time of the loss and in the following months and years ahead.

"Only those of us who have experienced this terrible tragedy can truly understand. None of us needs to suffer alone; together we can help each other."

We offer safe places for you to express your feelings and experiences, and to seek advice. It is up to you to decide how much you want to share, in confidence, with others who can empathise with some of the feelings you have and who will not judge you. We offer:

National Helpline: Open 365 days a year from 9am to 9pm.
Meetings: Self-help groups countrywide
Annual support days and residential weekends
A comprehensive website

Suicide recognises no social, ethnic or cultural boundaries - neither do we. Our helpline and groups are open to all survivors of bereavement by suicide aged 18 years or over.

"I rang the helpline. It felt like I had been let out of prison - my own prison. I had found someone who truly understood my feelings and helped me to feel normal again. I realised I wasn't going mad after all."

You will need all of the help you can get; so make sure you seek it or ask others to do it for you. And remember, we are here to support you if you need us.
