TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.1 INTRODUCTION Supernatural Activities is a commercial organisation for people from all walks of life – to engage in real investigations at alleged haunted venues. Our core team of investigators are all experienced. We employ a scientific and evidenced informed approach to investigation and we are all interested in history, folklore and parapsychology. Some of us are interested in psychical research. Our work is enhanced on location with input from our own Spiritualist Medium, Fiona Stewart Williams and we also make use of spiritual experiments as we try to present a balanced view between unexplained activity and those with a logical explanation. Most of our work is focused on private investigation in places of work or historical buildings. Investigations are open to believers and sceptics alike – we don't differentiate! When working, we use a range of equipment and experiments. Nothing is set up in advance – what you see is what you get. We can't guarantee paranormal activity, but we do try to assure that you'll have a great time! We operate within our own professional code of conduct – operating terms and conditions – and we have full public liability insurance.

We make no guarantee regarding the validity of the supposed paranormal activity associated with our locations or information, obtained from any of our sensitives, psychics, mediums, investigators or volunteers. No perceived opinions, information, advice or comments made by any of our volunteers, guests, employees, sensitives, psychics or mediums should be interpreted as factual or actual. Although we attempt to create atmosphere, Supernatural Activities does not set up any tricks in advance nor do we create false experiences. We are a legitimate spiritual research and investigation organisation and we act with honesty and integrity. We ask that our guests behave in the same way. Anyone caught faking paranormal activity will be asked to leave.

1.5 METHODOLOGY Approaching paranormal phenomena from a research perspective is often difficult because even when the phenomena are seen as real they may be difficult to explain using existing rules or theory. By definition, paranormal phenomena exist outside of conventional norms. Sceptics contend that they don't exist at all. Despite this challenge, studies on the paranormal are periodically conducted by researchers from various disciplines. Some researchers study just the beliefs in paranormal phenomena regardless of whether the phenomena actually exist. Supernatural Activities makes a point of utilising elements of varying approaches to better gain an understanding of the overall picture. • Anecdotal • Experimental • Debunking/Disproving • Participant Observation A full explanation of these methodologies, historic references and paranormal terms can be found on our website.

Any risks identified are communicated to guests during the initial briefing. If the location manager provides us with a safety pack or pre-organised risk assessment, we will use this where appropriate. Our activities present a low risk to the team and to members of the public. We do not have any individual risk assessments for our equipment or activities as they are strictly controlled to reduce harm. Any first aid or incidents which cause harm will be communicated to the location manager, following on-site procedures where possible. We conduct our risk assessment systematically and we attempt to consider all of the foreseeable risks which are associated with our activities (for which we are insured) and the location.
