The cafe is at the centre of a popular, functioning, Bristol city farm that provides meat, vegetables, salad, wild ingredients and the local allotment holders are encouraged to trade surplus in return for something to eat or drink.

The hobbit-esque building, home to this cafe for over ten years, warmed by a central log burner is made from organically shaped, gnarled wood with bright inlaid windows. It is situated next to an outstanding adventure playground overlooked by the cafe decking where diners can enjoy the excellent home made food & drinks.

The City Farm Cafe was responsible for creating a new category in The Observer Food awards when it won the Best Ethical Contribution, an inspiration for many subsequent Bristol winners who hold this highly coveted award.
