St Helens Sea Cadets 3.53

TS Scimitar is a Sea Cadet Unit with a Royal Marine Cadet Detachment. It is a disciplined, uniformed youth organisation with close links to the Royal Navy and Royal Marines.

The aim of the Sea Cadet Corps is to help young people towards responsible adulthood by encouraging the development of personal attributes and high standards of conduct, using a nautical theme based on the customs of the Royal Navy. We have a rank structure modelled on that of the Royal Navy/Marines, giving Cadets an opportunity to progress and take up positions of responsibility as they acquire skills and seniority

Fortunately for St Helens, we have one of the largest buildings in the area, enabling us to accommodate more cadets.
