WELCOME TO SPORT SKILLS ACADEMY

We endeavour to deliver an invaluable, unique, active learning service for children 5-11 years of age.

Sport and education is an important element of our ethos at Sport Skills Academy. We firmly believe that all children benefit from healthy exercise, active learning and competition. We provide quality coaching and training in a multitude of sports alongside a number of workshops to ensure each individual reaches their full potential and develop skills for life through a wide range of cultural, social and educational (curricular) topics. We believe that education is not only about acquiring knowledge and skills but about developing independence in a caring, stimulating and enjoyable environment.

Our sport enrichment programmes encourages team spirit, a positive and enjoyable experience alongside providing opportunities for all to achieve an enhanced social life. The skills and understanding the children acquire will enable them to follow a healthy lifestyle.

Through the activities we offer, we aim to instil in all children the understanding that being a sportsman/woman involves so much more than just ability. We encourage honesty, ambition, leadership, teamwork, integrity, respect and resilience.

We have over 18 years’ experience of delivering high quality physical education, sporting projects, events and competitions.

We aim to work with schools on a combination of approaches to give pupils the best opportunities in physical education, school sport, physical activity and health, as well as encouraging pupils to engage in competitive opportunities to achieve their potential and develop wider skills through teamwork and leadership.
