Salcombe Pre-School 2.56

We are a voluntary group, with charitable status, run by a parent and friends committee. We are members of the Pre-school Learning Alliance and adopte their constitution and use their policies as a framework for our own guidelines.
The ‘Lilliput nursery unit’ contains two bright and colourful playrooms. The Dartmoor room includes areas for quiet play, writing and maths, listening, role play, small world toys, a computer, and a book corner. The Estuary room is fitted with low level sinks and work sufaces, and accessible storage. We encourage the children to have independent access to paint, water, sand, woodwork, craft and malleable materials.
The outdoor area is always evolving, and comprises of a level play area with safety surface, a sloping grass bank and a fenced ‘wild’ area with facility to climb, swing, dig and make dens and mud pies. We have a large, raised bed in which we grow flowers and vegetables with the children.
