We take on a variety of horses and ponies throughout the year, all having different problems ranging from physical / mental abuse, starvation / emaciation, worm burdens (which will add to the horses problems e.g. anaemia) lice, disease, laminitis (severe) collapsed horses, severely overgrown feet and orphan foals.
All our horses receive 24 hour care 365 days a year. Because we can offer around the clock care we are able to take the most severe cases of neglect and give them the best chance of survival and full recovery.
The next stage of the rehabilitation process, once in good physical condition, is to assess the horse/pony's temperament and decide whether they will be a riding or companion horse/pony. We then continue our work whether it be handling from the ground or getting them ready to ride.
Once these stages are complete we then strive to find the best possible home for them.
