root Architecture was established by Stephen Riley following completion of his architecture studies and training in the UK and abroad. Stephen studied at the Mackintosh School of Architecture (Glasgow School of Art) and gained his professional qualification at Page\Park Architects in Glasgow. Stephen acquired further experience whilst working at a variety of other UK and Europe based practices.

The role of root Architecture is to create contemporary sustainable design solutions, which reflect and honour the existing context. Through our work we engage the client from the outset, we nurture their vision through the design process and strive to achieve successful practical completion on time and in budget.

Stephen is a member of the Architects Registration Board and Royal Institute of British Architects.
