Red Lion at the Peak Edge Hotel 3.6

Dating back to the 17th Century, The Red Lion Bar & Bistro is nestled on the edge of the stunning Peak District National Park, only a short drive from historic Chatsworth, the market town of Bakewell and Matlock. On arrival, relax and unwind in the lounge bar with friends, family or colleagues. The real fires, comfy seating and low lighting create the perfect atmosphere. The adjoining Peak Edge Hotel, which opened in April 2011, is a modern boutique hotel built to complement the existing Red Lion Bar & Bistro. All 26 bedrooms are finished to a very high standard and boast picturesque views over the beautiful Derbyshire countryside.
All the food is locally sourced from Derbyshire, but owners Jo and Damian Dugdale go one step further and produce some of their own vegetables and herbs. Recently awarded their second Rosette from the AA, The Red Lion is continuing with its long line of awards. The title of Derbyshire Food & Drink Awards’ ‘Gastro Pub of the Year 2011/12/13/1/15’ and Chesterfield Food and Drinks ‘ Best out of Town Restaurant 2013’ is a reflection of the chef’s passion for delicious food.
The menus constantly evolve to include exciting local seasonal dishes and if you can’t see your favourite dish the chefs are always happy to take advance requests. The Lunch Menu is served 12pm-6pm Monday to Saturday and from 6pm the à la carte menu is served, there is also a Sunday menu served 12pm-9pm every Sunday. The bar offers a large selection of cocktails, beers and local real ales, along with a wine list which changes to complement the varying food menu.
