Prima Associates 2.95

The Prima Associates programme is designed to discover talented children and provide them with Classical Ballet training to complement their regular ballet classes. The focus is to develop technique to prepare children for auditions for full-time /part-time vocational training. Classes will include Classical Ballet, ballet floor, gymnastic conditioning and contemporary dance/creative dance, taught by highly qualified and/or experienced teachers.

Admission is by audition only whereby students will be assessed for their suitability for intensive training.

Students seeking admission to Prima Associates must have permission from their Ballet School teachers to audition and attend classes. Prima Associates values its relationship with the dance teachers and welcome them to keep in close contact and there will be opportunities to observe their students in class.

We expect the students to continue to study with their regular dance teacher in addition to our Associate classes.

COURSE PROGRAMME

The year course will be arranged between three divisions for 7 to 13 yr olds (maximum 12 in a class) expand in the future.
The course will comprise a Classical Ballet Class: Gymnastic Conditioning; Ballet Conditioning/Pilates and Contemporary/Creative Dance.

These classes will form the compulsory ‘6 weeks’ a term sessions taught by high profile ballet and contemporary dance teachers and a top Russian Gymnastic coach for the gymnastic conditioning..
All our teachers are gifted, nurturing, qualified teachers who know how to teach using positive reinforcement – they are also DBS checked.
