Pretty in Paint is a business that I’ve started after a long, loving relationship with upcycling furniture. I use a lot of Annie Sloane Chalk paint for my work as I love the individual effects it can bring. Mixing the original paint colours together is something I love to add an even more unique spin on my work. I’m always trying new techniques and paints as I love trying new things, and love experimenting to find the best results. As well as larger items of furniture I try and keep a range of smaller house hold items that are upcycled to bring a little joy and colour in to small spaces!
I have 3 little girls so at the moment will be working part time and adding new pieces as soon as I can. Each piece will be individual, and I can make practically any item you own in to an individual piece for you.
If you have any furniture or home accessories that you love but would like updating, please contact me and we can arrange to discuss what you would like and I can offer you a quote.
As well as decorating furniture I also love to take small craft items, and again, due to the nature of my work no two items will be identical. These can be sold and collected locally or depending on size I will be able to post, adding the lowest postage price that I can.
As all my pieces are restored or crafted by me, as well as no two items being identical, they will also be perfectly imperfect. I love that my pieces don’t look like items from a production line, and I love the individuality hand painting will bring.
I also carry a small amount of stock that I think compliment my items really well. These are mainly smaller items that can be posted, again, using the lowest postage costs that I can. These are usually ordered in small amounts so the stock can change frequently.
Above all, my passion is to take things that are ‘old’ or ‘ugly’ and make them in to something beautiful. If you have any questions about my items please contact me here, or using my email address – upcycleforlife@outlook.com
My ‘about’ wouldn’t be an about without a massive thank you to my family. I have wonderful parents that support me still – I’ll always be their little girl it seems! And as anyone who knows me knows, a fantastic husband that will and does do everything he can for me. He is the good egg I’ve always dreamed of.
