History of Premier Studios
Joan Bower, founder of Premier School of Dance & Drama trained at Elsie Smiths School of Dance in Oakfield, and qualified in Dance & Drama through Barbara Woffes Pembroke Studios. Premier School of Dance & Drama first began in church halls and community centres in 1966.

The school developed successfully and in 1988 Mrs Bower acquired her own studios at the junction of Longmoor Lane and Long Lane, Aintree in Liverpool.

Mrs Bower became an examiner of the Allied Dancing Association in 1995, and still successfully trains pupils in RAD, ADA and ISTD at all levels with many entering professional theatre and television.

Premier School of Dance & Drama are very proud to have a 100% pass rate on all examinations in dance; also we are one of the leading North West part time dance and drama schools and constantly look for new ways to develop and thrive.

Gillian Beattie (daughter of Joan Bower) trained at Premier and studied full time at Merseyside Dance & Drama Centre graduating as a professional dancer in 1991. Whilst working professionally for ten years, Gillian studied music, writing and acting which helped her work in musicals, plays, theatre and television and touring in productions internationally. Using her work contacts, she developed Arts2u Limited in the Millennium to provide schools and community groups with opportunities of working with professional artists.

Gillian Beattie took over Premier School of Dance and Drama in April 2008 and is developing it in various medias and subjects hence it’s name alteration to Premier Studios. This allows the collaboration of all services and skills under one roof.
