The property had previously been owned by one family for over 40 years and as local stories go even had a visit from Queen Victoria when a coaching inn. The location of Pilmuir is excellent for hill walking, cycling, golf, riding, Strathspey Steam Railway, Landmark Forest Adventure Park and local distilleries in Tomatin and Ballindalloch.
Aviemore and Boat of Garten are nearby with Shops, post office, hotels and restaurants.
