An enterprise of the Lloyd Family is the purchasing of store lambs to fatten. A crucial part of this enterprise is daily liveweight gain, killing out percentage combined with healthy lambs. Over a period of a decade the Lloyd family have been producing feeds for their own livestock which has led to formulating of the Pencefn Feeds Ltd’s Moist Feed. This unique mix of ingredients produces a moist feed that is palatable to livestock, has nutritional performance along with enhanced storage performance. The versatility of the packaging and enhanced storage performance of the product, sealed in plastic liners, allows for a bespoke supply of moist/ dry and organic feeds of a scale suitable for the region and unique to the industry. Alternative Feeding has come of age, whereby the nutritional benefits of by-products from the human food chain has become apparent e.g. brewers grains, citrus pulp. Good use is made of these products that are available on the market.
