Details

Onslow Court was built in 1936 by Jeffrey & Co. of Worthing. It was designed by the architect Arthur T W Goldsmith. When it was built it was revolutionary, giving central heating and constant hot water included in the rental price of each flat. Look at the photo pages of the original marketing brochure and you will see all the fascinating details of the origins of this building. It is 1.5 miles from Worthing town centre with bus stops right outside for those who would rather not take the beautiful walk along the seafront.

Although Onslow Court is not a listed building, it is designated as a Local Interests Building, in recognition of its historic and architectural merits (Worthing Local Interest Study 2002 (see http://www.adur-worthing.gov.uk/media/media,99455,en.pdf), and we appreciate the importance of ensuring that the character of the building is preserved.

See mention of Onslow Court on the BBC website "WW2 People's War!
