A LITTLE ABOUT US

Here you will meet the most stereotypical Italian
who grew up on pasta, moved on to the big city
and opened a little restaurant...

How original right? Well, the truth is that when
I moved to Peckham, I craved a hot big portion
of pasta, crafted with simplicity and good
ingredients and cooked fresh on the spot.

How demanding! So demanding that my partner
and I created Oi Spaghetti under a gazebo at the
summer market here in Copeland Park.

With great surprise we soon discovered that
many people felt the same way about food.
Before we knew it, the gazebo had turned
into a restaurant in a hut.

We are always trying to perfect the spaghetti by
sourcing organic produce, by experimenting with
unusual flavour combinations and by stocking
DOP Italian products and British meat & dairy
from responsible farms.

Sometimes I am asked when will I escalate this,
I say that I love Oi because it’s small & unique.
Here we cook because we like to, & we have the
time to put absolute care into every dish.
