3 miles from the Exmoor coast, nestling in the North Devon hills with 2 acres of gardens is the 18th century Kentisbury Mill where a warm welcome awaits. Starting at the old mill leat, gently sloping lawns lead down to a pond, Exmoor stream and summer house where guests can relax and unwind. Renovated in 2007 to include en-suites, central heating and double glazed sash windows care has been taken to retain the Mill’s character. New for 2010 is our Gazebo overlooking the secret garden and with infa-red heating for the colder evenings.

Sorry no pets, except guide dogs, in the house but well behaved dogs may sleep in their owners’ car.

Kentisbury Mill has five guest bedrooms, all named after wild birds that may be seen in our gardens. All rooms are en-suite, have tea and coffee making facilities, fresh milk (on request) and biscuits, and digital TV’s with DVD players.

Swallow

The largest of our rooms, Swallow, has two sash windows overlooking the gardens. The room caters for either twin or super king bed and can also take a cot and/or z bed. The large en-suite has a double shower
Nuthatch

Nuthatch

is in the oldest part of our home dating back to around 1750. Full of character (no flat ceiling or square walls here!), there is a king size bed with views over the gardens from its sash window.

Wren

Also situated in the oldest part of the house, Wren, as its name suggests, is a cosy room with a comfortable brass double bed. Renovations revealed a grid of oak filled with cement and slate. A small portion of this has been left exposed .

Magpie

Magpie is a spacious single room with 4 foot bed. Having it’s own en-suite Magpie enjoys all the facilities of our double rooms .

Breakfast

The policy at Night In Gails is to give our guests a choice of breakfasts. To be able to do this we ask for your selection the night before. Wherever possible ingredients are sourced locally, including our own hens’ eggs, and all cooked using our Aga.
Breakfast is served between 8 and 9 am and may be taken on the patio, weather permitting.
