Details

Having just celebrated our 50th year, Morton Photographic Society have approximately 40-50 members and are well known for being a friendly bunch, who make everyone visiting us feel very welcome (even the judges). At present the age group of our members is predominantly 40 to 75 years, but welcome anyone over the age of 16, both men and women, and with all tastes in photography.
We are all at differing levels of photographic experience, some have traditional darkroom skills, some produce AV shows, we even have members who don't even take pictures and just come to socialise, but what we have in common is that we are all willing to share the knowledge we have discovered with other members . . . and all of us has a story to tell.

Being members of a camera club helps open your eyes to the world, inspiring you to see detail and look for pictures wherever you go. It is well known that photographers bring out the best in other photographers.

We have regular 'visiting' speakers come and tell of their experiences, we also hold 'Morton Members Nights' approximately once a month where one of our members will discuss how they produce their pictures, these can be very useful and help novices get to grips with new technology.

Everyone is made very welcome at Morton, why not come down one Thursday night and see what it's about, it must be better than watching TV.
