James Dorman

Momentum Property was founded by James Dorman who lives in Dawlish, Devon.

James was first inspired to get into property at an early age working for his father and a local property developer. Upon leaving school and becoming self-employed he took the long march of saving up enough money to break into property full time, which he did so in 1999. Starting in renovations jumping from one wreck to the next, building up a rental portfolio of HMO’s, buy-to-lets and holiday lets – he finally achieved his dream of becoming financially free by 2003. Following that momentous achievement he continued buying to sell, gaining planning permission to create new builds, and then starting The Momentum Group in 2013.

James continues to tap dance into work as he follows his passion to work in property !

Kris German

Kris was born and raised in Torquay, Devon. Being in close contact with James since the very early days (even before Momentum was born), he started out as a labourer on James’ early renovation projects during his summer breaks from college and then university. Whilst continuing to stay in contact – following university Kris went on to own and run his own business in the leisure industry. During this time he bought and renovated property for his own rental portfolio. Having very similar work ethics, but also skills in different departments James could see huge benefit in joining forces and shortly after initial conversations Kris moved across to Momentum. Kris divides his time between being on site overseeing the renovation and development projects, on the road viewing and searching for new properties, and in the office catching up on the day to day running of the business.

Kelly Kinnair

Kelly lives in Brixham, Devon. Kelly manages and runs Momentums very busy sister company The Premier Lettings Company in Preston, Paignton.

For a number of years Kelly worked for various letting agents, estate agents, and new home developers in the area – but with James’ keen eye for talent he soon talked Kelly into having a chat about working together. The Premier Lettings Company was born and with Kelly running the office it has grown from strength to strength. Local knowledge and staff, combined with low costs make this company stand apart from the nationals. A much needed personal service in a market where landlords often feel like ‘just another tick on the box’. We care about our clients (both landlords and tenants) and our portfolio mostly built up from word of mouth is testament to that.
