Making Interiors was started in 1989 in Hook, Hampshire and built it's knowledge up fitting curtains and blinds for a large number of interior designers and curtain makers.
Trading under the name Makin Tracks this gave an excellent product understanding and background to interiors and interior design.
Working in a traditional way mainly interlined curtains and large wood poles from companies like Hunter Hyland and fabrics from Osborne and Little, Sanderson, Villa Nova and other designer fabric houses. In and around Fleet, Odiham, Surrey and Weybridge area's.

In 2001 Makin Tracks changed direction from working just for the trade and became Making Interiors a full retail & trade company. Lead by Mark Collins who used his classic curtain and design back ground to a whole new level.

Understanding the market and the people he met. Making Interiors specialises in being high quality curtains and blinds at retail prices. Bring the shop to the clients was the answer. Making Interiors Mobile showrooms are fully fitted out New Volkswagen Vans. The whole range of what we do is in one place.. On your door step.

By not having a shop Making Interiors is able to keep it's costs down and also provide a more one to one personal customer relationship. It's the internet but with a real shop that comes to you. Why look at fabric samples in a shop or on a web site when they can be at your door. A range of fabrics are stocked to give quick turn around times. Our own work rooms are modern and well equipped to carry out the most detailed of work. Hand sewn curtains by experts. Blinds custom made to each window to give a bespoke feel to each and every product supplied and fitted.

Making Interiors really care about what they do, our best advert over the years has been word of mouth. Family after family, recommending our services to each other. Company after company have also recommended us with commercial work being an area we also work in, from hotels to show houses for new builds we cover a vast range of the Interiors Market.
In 2007 Making Interiors was given area sole rights to a number of products this shows the faith given to us by the manufacturers and the quality and attention to detail we take on each and every product we use. With 2008/9 being an uncertain market for all sectors of the market Making Interiors is expanding. With a solid respected base from which to work from Making Interiors has secured more new products and negotiated better discounts that have been passed on directly to clients.
In 2010 Making Interiors re looked at it's fabric supply range. Expanding into not just commercial fabrics for curtains, blinds and seating but the supply of foam, van & boat lining carpets to automotive and boat fabrics. With Sea Shore now on board as a supplier of their goods we can look forward to expanding our range though 2011/12 as we grow this area of retail.
