My name is Alex Picker and I founded Maiden Memorabilia in 2014, having been a collector of football and cricket memorabilia since 1990 when at the age of eight I got Des Walker's autograph just after Italia 90 and was immediately hooked.

I grew up in Nottingham and spent 15 years working at Trent Bridge Cricket Ground where I was fortunate enough to meet some of the game's greatest names.

As a youngster, I spent almost every weekend traveling the country with my Dad collecting autographs, often visiting former footballers and cricketers at their homes and hearing stories of their playing days.

Having collected on and off for nearly 25 years, I decided to start selling off parts of my collection in 2013 and set up this business at the start of 2014 specializing in vintage items from the turn of the twentieth century up to the 1970s.

As many of the items were signed nearly a century ago, I don't believe in pointless certificates of authenticity - as I am a collector at heart, I offer my customers a no quibble money back guarantee if they are not entirely happy with their purchase.

As well as the items you see on this website, I have hundreds of others in my private collection and am constantly buying new stock so don't hesitate to contact me if you are after something in particular to enhance your collection. If I don't have it, I am happy to source items for people and have been able to successfully locate items for clients in the past.

At the moment, this is still something of a sideline so I am just adding items steadily but if it proves popular then who knows what the future may hold.

Finally, it would make my day to hear from any collectors out there as I still believe the best thing about this hobby is getting to know fellow collectors and share their passion.
