Board our 15" gauge steam train, Zebedee or Muffin, at Benny Halt and travel on a mile-long journey through a beautiful Cornish valley to our leisure park at East Wheal Rose. Then ride on two more miniature railways: the 10 1/4" gauge Newlyn Branchline behind our new locomotive 'Eric', climbs nearly half a mile further up the valley to Newlyn Halt where our family games field is found; and the 7 1/4" gauge 'Woodland Railway' travels a circuit of 320 metres round the wildlife pond and maze.

Families love our canoes, crazy golf, children's play areas including our two indoor play carriages, and nature walks. For those interested in the past, an imposing mine engine house stands in the leisure park. We also have a Toddler's brick path maze designed on Cornishman Richard Trevithick's world-first 1804 steam locomotive.

Careful ecological management of our site, which we have looked after since 1974, allows wild flowers, ferns and trees to thrive and provides a good habitat for a large variety of native birds, animals and insects.

How to find us: Follow our signs from the A3075 Newquay-Redruth road, or from the A30 and A3058 (this direction is not suitable for coaches).
