King Alfred Inn 4.29

Welcome to the King Alfred Inn at Burrowbridge. We are situated in the heart of the Somerset Levels on the A361 between Taunton and Glastonbury.

We are a good old fashioned Somerset pub that offers traditional pub food using local meats, fish and vegetables. We are a Freehouse and stock a wide range of real ales, lagers, wines, spirits and of course Somerset cider.

During the winter warm up in front of our log burner and in the summer enjoy the view across the river from our terrace. We have live music every Sunday afternoon and regular band nights. To liven up the beginning of the week we have tapas every 3rd Monday of the month, whilst on the first Tuesday of every month we hold a pub quiz.

We offer cosy accommodation in our 2 holiday cottages where we welcome dogs.

We are easy to find and a great base for local attractions such as Glastonbury, Taunton, the River Parrett trail, the Great Crane Project and much more.
