Jacqui is a fully qualified Hydrotherapist and Canine Masseuse. She has trained with the Canine Massage Guild and holds a two year diploma in Canine Massage and an ABC Level 3 diploma in Hydrotherapy. She is now a member of the Canine Massage Guild which promotes high standards, safe practice and continuing professional development.

Jacqui's Canine Therapy Centre houses a 3.3m x 2.1m x 1.2m hydrotherapy pool, with a professional jet system. Swimming in warm water is an ideal therapeutic exercise for dogs. The water temperature of 29 degrees celsius allows the muscles to warm up quicker, which helps with relaxation and assists blood flow, reduces muscle spasms and improves range of motion. It significantly reduces recovery time from injury and decreases pain. Hydrotherapy is a great cardiovascular workout for a dog's heart and lungs. It can also help with weight reduction without over-stressing bones and joints, allowing calories to be burned to improve the metabolic rate. The dogs are provided with a buoyancy jacket so they have the feeling of weightlessness, which allows disabled dogs to use all their muscles without putting stress on damaged or weak muscles.

Jacqui has advanced palpation and soft tissue identification skills. She has trained in three disciplines of massage: swedish, sports and myofascial release. It works in releasing tight, sore muscles, removing knots or trigger points that cause referred pain and helps rehabilitate injuries by breaking down restricted scar tissue. It is also a natural pain relief that can help to resolve soft tissue or muscular problems and can also help support orthopaedic conditions.
