Local business owners Nigel and Linda Jordan, co-directors of Global Filmmakers Ltd launched their new business IInfoU Ltd at the beginning of October. IInfoU challenges the traditional business card industry by providing a digital version with multiple benefits for both the sender and recipient.

The Genius App is compatible with all devices, PCs, tablets and every make and model of mobile phone. And, because it’s cloud base it doesn’t use up any device storage.

Nigel said, “I was astounded by the number of business cards that our sales force at Global Filmmakers went through each year. In fact, globally 10 billion cards are printed per annum, that’s more than the worldwide population. We’ve developed a green system that enables an easy ex-change of information that’s cost effective to small businesses and multi platform users. Our new product is cheaper than one box of business cards but offers so much more.”

The obvious benefit of the Genius App is that it’s up to date and of course it’s never misplaced, but the IInfoU App is also a valuable tool enabling businesses to link to their website, social media, location maps, videos and photos. It can also include details of special offers and newsletters, which are easily updated at any time.

The app is simply transferred by SMS, email or social media, creating an instant database for the sender, which is easily extracted and integrated with any existing system that the business already uses, such as CRM.

The sender can also check that the recipient has opened the app. This becomes invaluable data and indeed a training tool in itself, as line managers are able to access this information to check the productivity of their staff - such as how many apps have been handed out i.e. how many meetings have they attended. And subsequently, how many apps have been opened can equate to how effective the meeting was.

As well as providing easy contact with the school, users will be also be able to top up lunch accounts and access the school calendar and important communications such as newsletters, making it a very green, cost effective tool.
