Ideal was originally set up by the Tidy Boys in November 2012 as a sister label to Tidy. Within its first 18 months it had produced 2 Weekenders at Pontins in Southport, 5 compilation albums, and over 20 single releases. It also had lots of great events including 1200 turning out for its first birthday at the Institute in Birmingham. When the Tidy Boys bought Tidy back from music Factory in 2014, Ideal went into hibernation and stopped its events and releases. Now in 2017 Ideal is back, this time with a fresh new team who plan to take the brand to the next level. Alt ought its heart and organs are based in Hard Dance, the new look Ideal will be widening its appeal with more diverse music styles and events. Ideal will be all about new music, new artists, new events and new DJs. In Feb 2017 watch out for the all new IDEAL ACADEMY, a project for new producers and DJs to both learn and develop skills.
