I first learned about Jimi Hendrix, at the age of twelve, when my family moved into the house where his girlfriend Monica Danemann had lived. I was hooked on Jimi's guitar playing from the first time I heard the screeching string bends of his song "Voodoo Child". I persuaded my parents to allow me to swap from learning the violin to learning the guitar. I have never looked back!
I moved to London to study the guitar at Tech Music School (now BIMM London) and graduated with a first class honours degree in 2011. I was also awarded the guitarist of the year by the universities alumni. I have worked as a professional guitarist for six years gaining experience as a performer, music educator, songwriter and composer.
I have taught privately and as a visiting peripatetic music teacher in schools. I have experience teaching all ages and and abilities. This enables me to tailor my lessons to suit each student's individual needs. I am able to teach different styles; Rock, Pop, Blues, Funk, Jazz, Folk, Classical, Metal, Soul and R’n’B. I can give instruction in using effects pedals, sight reading and music theory. All of my 'Rock School' students have passed their exams.
I am located in the heart of London's East End. There are good public transport links, a five minute walk from Whitechapel tube station and several bus sevices that will drop you directly outside my property.
