Hampshire in Old Photographs 3.3

The collection includes portraits and topographical views of Hampshire and its people dating from the 1845 to 1960, which may contain images of locations that have become independent or where boundaries have changed to other adjoining counties. The archive has an extensive collection of transport related photographs that includes vehicles made by Thornycroft, Tasker, Wallis and Steevens. The collection has over 500,000 photographic prints, negatives, glass plate negatives, lantern slides, other early photographic formats and transparencies, which can be viewed by appointment at Hampshire Cultural Trust, Winchester, Hampshire.
