Folly Forge Farriery provides a friendly and professional service for all equine hoofcare needs within North Bucks and the surrounding area.

I am a newly qualified farrier having taken my Diploma in November, gaining a distinction in the final exams and entering the Farriers Register in March 2014. I completed my 4year 2month apprenticeship under the guidance of Lea Cullen DipWCF of North Cotswold Farriers, based just south of Stratford Upon Avon. My training covered footcare of a wide variety of equines including Shetlands, racehorses, showjumpers (including International Grade A winners), international carriage driving horses, eventers (riding club to advanced), shire horses, hunters and youngstock to name a few. This allowed me to gain the required experience in shoeing for many disciplines with various styles. Being a small business Lea took a lot of time examining my work, recommending improvements and allowing me to make and fit handmade shoes in preparation for both the exam and life beyond the apprenticeship.

At Folly Forge Farriery, no job is too big or small, I am happy to come out for 1 trim or to shoe a whole yard. All styles of shoeing can be accommodated whether you have racehorses, dressage horses, eventers, hunters, polo ponies, riding horses or retired ponies – anything goes! Each horse will be individually assessed and shod according to its needs and discipline. I offer flexibility and will cater for a wide range of shoeing requirements.
