First registered as a public house in 1808, the pub lies at the end of a terrace in the centre of Top Mossley.
The licensees are very committed to real ale with regular changing cask ales and two regular house beers. Along with the cask we also offer German imported Lager as standard plus a changing guest lager each week
The island bar serves a small seated area to the front and what is essentially a games/tap room to the rear.
There is a bigger separate room to the side which features a larger seated area, is used to hold two beer festivals a year, and 3 themed cocktail nights.
The walls throughout are decorated with framed pump clips representing beers old and new from far and wide.
