Hello and welcome to John Arbon Textiles. We've had a busy year of positive changes - so our world of making luxury unisex socks & fine quality yarns & tops is thriving, contented and warm.

Our main news is we've moved our Mill to larger premises in South Molton, still in North Devon, but now closer to home in Lynton.Here we can easily expand and quadruple our yarn production. The Mill move took 3 months but now we are settled and working to full capacity...myself, Sara, (trusty 2nd in command in all things yarn), James (new boy of Mill machines) and Emily (the Canadian colour whiz).

We are revelaing 3 new yarns - Sara's mouth-watering marls (Hayward), Emily's complex colour blends (Viola), and the enticing Exmoor Sock Yarn (made from our local Exmoor Blueface Sheep). We are unveiling the first few of many patterns from a selection Emily is producing to compliment our yarn ranges.

Whilst in sockland, we have re-designed our Alpaca Stripy Socks - a thinner, smarter stripe in tantalizing new colourways that go all the way to the toes & are knitted in a softer, more luxurious yarn.

So all is a flurry of colour & texture in our Lynton shop if you fancy a visit. It is looked after lovingly as always by Juliet, my stalwart partner & wifey, with the fantastically gorgeous support of Judy and new recruit Ginette.

2014 will see more excitement, plus stands at Unravel, Wonderwool, Woolfest, Yarndale, Country Living Christmas Fair (London) and Selvedge Fairs.
