Festival Childminding 1.82

I am a fully qualified childminder in the Festival Park area, Gateshead, which is at the bottom on Lobley Hill and next to the Team Valley Trading Estate. We live in a nice quiet cul-de-sac, with plenty of parks and walks nearby for us to enjoy, have fun and learn.

I have always enjoyed spending time with children and will always warmly welcome all children into our home, we aim to make them feel part of the family.

I pride myself in offering a friendly, warm, clean and safe environment for your children to learn, grow, develop, feel secure and have fun. I will always adapt to their own interests and needs. I can ensure you that your child's early years are as important to me as they are to you.

I believe that childhood is not a race to see how quickly a child can crawl, walk, read, write and count. I will ensure your Children will learn and develop at the pace which is right for them.

As a Mum I know how difficult it can be leaving your children with someone else. Which is why I offer settling in sessions where parents can stay with their children and leave them gradually. If this is something you feel would work for you please let me know. Every child is different, and I just want your children to feel happy in my setting.

I offer a balance of indoor and outdoor daily activities to keep your child happy and healthy. I practice a healthy lifestyle with my own family, ensuring healthy meals are served, healthy snacks are on offer and we take regular exercise.

Inside there is have a fully equipped play room with a wide selection of educational and recreational toys to suit all ages.

I follow the EYFS framework and I will plan daily group activities to stimulate the children’s’ minds, such as painting and drawing, model making, role playing and will have the opportunity to make lots of special mementos to take home to their proud parents. The children will have lots of time for free play, story time, activities such as baking, gardening, outside play and arts and crafts.

I offer school pick-ups and drop offs to Lobley Hill Primary School. I also provide a ‘wrap around’ service for parents whose Children attend a pre-school nursery but need a full day of childcare. I can safely take and collect your child from their pre-school. If you are interested, please feel free to contact me to discuss further

I attend various activity groups and where permitted take children on outings to different places like the local parks, indoor centres and soft play centres. Each child will have their own progress folder for parents to view and eventually take home.
