It is estimated that four million people in the UK cannot afford a healthy diet. With food prices rising, many Sussex citizens are struggling to include fresh food and healthy ingredients in their diet.

FareShare Sussex makes twice daily deliveries of good quality surplus foods to over 90 local charities and community groups, who help thousands of our county's most vulnerable people. The local organisations we support include charities, church groups and NGOs who run homeless shelters, women's refuges, day centres and community groups.

FareShare Sussex works with the food industry to redistribute their good quality, edible surplus food.

Our food suppliers see FareShare as an ethical, safe and positive alternative for their surplus food, and we continue to develop our relationships with them. Last year we received and redistributed over 470 tonnes of food.
