The inaugural European Barbershop Convention (EBC) was first held in 2003 in Veldhoven, Holland. It was hosted by Holland Harmony and initially, it was a European contest for Women. This resulted in the following European Ladies Champions:

European Ladies Quartet Champions:
Eu4ia (LABBS)

European Ladies Chorus Champions:
Cheshire Chord Company (LABBS)

Since then the competition has gone from strength to strength. In 2009 the Competition incorporated the Men's quartets and choruses from Europe and was hosted by Holland Harmony once again.

Men's Chorus Champions:
zero8 (SNOBS)

Ladies Chorus Champions:
The White Rosettes (LABBS)

The last European Convention in 2013 saw the Convention incorporate a Mixed Quartet contest. It was held in Veldhoven, Holland and hosted by Holland Harmony. The current holders of the 2013 Championship titles, as follows:

In 2017, it is anticipated that there will be over 2000 LABBS member PLUS 800-1200 people attending EBC from the following European Organisations:

SAI R32 - Sweden

Holland Harmony - Dutch Association of Barbershop Singers merged now with Holland.

FABS - Finland

SABS - Spain

IABS - Ireland

SNOBS - Sweden

BinG - Germany

FRABS - (France)
