I chose Mike Williams Driving School as I was looking for an instructor who taught in a Ford Fiesta., so that I could learn in the same car that I was practicing in at home. I had also checked out his website and saw many great reviews from previous students. I got his contact number from the website. Learning to drive with Mike was totally different to the instructors I had previously had. Mike was very well organised and made sure that during and at the end of each lesson I had feedback on where I could improve which helped me when driving with my parents. Also the Progress Card he gives you shows what needs working on and what is at a good standard etc. I found Mike’s teaching methods very good indeed. He was always calm whatever the situation and would always adapt and change methods to suit my requirements. I would highly recommend Mike Williams Driving School to friends and family as I think Mike is a very good driving instructor. I was let down by my previous instructor, and started learning with Mike about halfway through my driving lessons, and I feel like I have come on leaps and bounds since having driving lessons with him. Mike helped me gain a lot of confidence, which I was lacking with a previous instructor.
He gave me a lot of useful tips and ideas especially with dealing with the reversing manoeuvres, and this let me gain confidence really quickly as he has a very calm approach and attitude.
The reviews after each lesson were really helpful, as I knew how I was progressing, and what I could practice with my Dad.

So many have previously said this...but I found learning to drive less stressful than I had expected, and I put that down to Mike´s easy to understand teaching methods, and I was never pressured to rush things through.
I enjoyed my driving lessons, and I felt completely ready and prepared for my driving test, so I would definitely recommend Mike as a driving instructor.

I took my driving lessons with Mike Williams Driving School. I chose Mike because he taught my brother.
I found the learning to drive experience really good and pretty much as I had expected. I have been driving with my Dad as well, as you do....driving all over Gloucester and the surrounding areas including Stroud and Cheltenham.
I think Mike´s teaching and coaching methods were really good. He was always calm, nothing ever happened to ruffle him. He always gave good constructive feedback, and loads of encouragement. I would certainly recommend him as a driving instructor as he always remains calm and his teaching methods are very good and easy to follow.

Quite a few things drew me to choose Mike Williams as my Driving Instructor. His great reviews, fast response to my enquiry, good deals and his fantastic website. I got his contact number from his website and went from there. I found the learning to drive experience Fantastic!!...especially after my previous instructor. Mike´s teaching methods were very useful and a really good way to learn, clear instruction etc. We always had Goals for each individual lesson, he always helped me to remain calm, and always explains how to correct any mistakes. I would definitely recommend him as a driving instructor to everybody. You receive feedback during and after every lesson so you know where to improve. He gets you to self evaluate which I found really good. He also talks through each step until you are comfortable and confident to move on....which I think is very important!

I chose Mike Williams as my driving instructor because he was brilliant the first time I used him. I had a break from driving lessons and then opted for an intensive course, which Mike was not able to do. I didn´t get on with that driving instructor, failed the test and came back to Mike. I found the learning experience ´terrifying´, but Mike made me feel very safe. His teaching methods were brilliant, and he was very patient. He made me feel safe which increased my confidence. I would absolutely recommend Mike as a driving instructor to friends and family because he is the best. A brilliant teacher!!

My Dad knows Mike so we arranged our first lesson and went from there. The learning to drive experience was much as I had expected. Mike is very calm unlike me!! He is very patient and will go over things as many times as you need to grasp it. I found the progress cards really good, so I was always aware of how I was doing. We always recapped our previous lesson before we discussed the next one, which I found really useful too. He is very reliable, consistent and always managed to fit me in around my busy and erratic work schedule. Would definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking for a really good driving instructor.
